I'm excited to share these valuable lessons with you.* Twenty-four months ago, I stepped away to support my wife Serena following her breast cancer diagnosis. While her condition is incurable, her extraordinary determination has inspired our entire family as we learn to navigate this journey together. This deeply challenging time has taught me a profound lesson that I believe can benefit every businessperson: the importance of prioritising what truly matters. For me, that means dedicating time to family, health and fitness - not as luxuries to be enjoyed after success, but as essential foundations that make meaningful work possible. Deliberately rewarding yourself, taking time for core priorities isn't self-indulgent, it is necessary for a life of purpose. Some valuable insights you may recognise in your own journey: - Remove obstacles in your business life that don’t add value. - Continue to set realistic goals that are achievable in a realistic time frame. - Reward yourself and celebrate when a goal is achieved. - ‘How much you have’ does not define success. These observations may seem simple but as business owners we overlook them because we continue to focus on the next opportunity or milestone. Make meaningful work possible… Like all businesses we need to leverage our strengths. That is why my focus is solely on Business Development, and we would like to announce, as of March 2025 that Georgina Joyce has joined Square Penny to support me in this role moving forward. As we reflect on the past 2 years, we have seen rapid growth. My deepest appreciation is extended to Alex Georgiou who took on the challenge of Business Development during this period.  April marks Square Penny’s 17th birthday, as a dedicated team of 25, we cannot be prouder. We continue to thrive under the exceptional leadership of our CEO Trish Catlin and our fantastic management team - Michelle Menelaws, Meisha Davies, PJ Chan, and Angela Nicolai. Since January 2023 the management team have been doing an outstanding job of running the business without the founder's direct involvement. The Square Penny team and I are committed to ensuring that this success continues as we work alongside our clients as a team, for many years to come. I extend my deepest gratitude to each of you for your continued engagement with Square Penny. Your support is invaluable, and I look forward to further strengthening and growing our relationship.
